Well here we are, back in old blighty, home from the Land of Oz.
Our flight left Perth Wednesday 5th at 11:30pm local time (that's 2:30pm GMT) for Dubai where we transferred to a flight for Birmingham arriving 11:30 am GMT on Thursdy 6th (thats 21 hours). Alas, the taxi was not waiting to meet us. A phone call, and we learn that there has been a breakdown and another car returning from Manchester is diverted to collect us and bring us home to Thurnby.
The time has passed so quickly and we left Oz with mixed feelings. Perth area is such a lovely place, we have made so many friends at church we feel like we belong there. We shall miss Ruth, Martin and the children. But it will be nice to be home and see you all again.
We felt the same leaving Perth to come home as we felt leaving home to go there. Family ties across the world are not easy. But if anyone is wondering about emigrating, we would have to recommend Perth WA as a good place to live.
