Guildford WA

Today was very hot, we went to visit Guildford.
In the 1800,s the local leaders of Guildford lobbied for Guildford to be the capital city of Western Australia because it was the place where all routes crossed for shipment of produce etc. however Perth won and became state capital. So Guildford is now a quaint little tourist attraction with old colonial houses and surrounded by vineyards and wineries. Of course we must not forget Margaret River chocolate factory which is popular with visitors for its luxury confections and ice cream.
