Perth & Kings Park

Very Hot again today as we made our way through Perth to Kings Park

Kings Park was so named on the accession of King Edward VII,
after the death of Queen Victoria.

The park, high on a hill, overlooks Perth City and the Swan River

Giant Boab Tree in the Botanical Gardens

These trees loose all their leaves in the dry season and store water in their enormous trunks.

The Kangaroo Paw is WA’s state flower and the black swan is the state bird.
