At the art Gallery there was an exhibition entitled Wanderlust which included paintings, pottery, jewellery and other art forms from a very divers group, some English, a lot of Australian and Aboriginal art as well as the usual questionable stuff that makes you think the contributor is taking the micky, such as a turned (edge to middle) and darned bed sheet.
Psychedelia was quite impressive - at first appearance it appeared to stand out from the wall but a close view showed it to be just flat canvas.
The foundation of Perth is a more traditional painting to represent the official establishing of the colony. Note the soldiers and the settler woman holding an axe, indicating that the land wood be cleared and taken by force from those who already occupied it.

Yagan was an aboriginal resistance leader. This painting illustrates a spear throwing competition organised by settlers in the hope of catching Yagan, but he still managed to slip away from them.
