Went to Mandurah again today.
In honour of Mary's birthday which is tomorrow, we took a cruise, complete with fish & chip lunch, around the canals. The properties that back onto the canal side are very expensive as you might expect. some of the rented apartments also have as an option rented moorings for a boat, the moorings alone can cost $4 - 7,000 AD per year to rent. The more expensive building plots are in the region of $1,000,000 AD for an empty plot, the purchaser is then required to build a property of at least the same value on the plot. some properties occupied two plots and just occasionally three. one property we passed seemed to occupy three plots a corner and one each side. It was valued at $10,000,000 AD. Six bedrooms plus guest accommodation and staff accommodation, a holiday home occupied for only two weeks a year, it was owned by the brother of the President of Singapore.

In the evening Ruth and Martin treated us to a meal out, in honour of Mum's birthday, so we all had a great evening at "Topolinis" a pizza restaurant in the Warwick shopping and entertainment centre.
